SAL Steel produces high-grade Ferro Chrome, including Low Silicon Ferro Chrome and High Carbon Ferro Chrome. These are vital components in steelmaking, used to deoxidize the steel and improve its mechanical properties like strength, hardness, and resistance to corrosion.
Our Sponge Iron (Direct Reduced Iron) is manufactured using high-quality iron ore and non-coking coal in rotary kilns. It serves as an ideal substitute for scrap in induction and electric arc furnaces.
The manufacturing process ensures low sulphur and phosphorus content, making it perfect for producing high-grade steel.
SAL Steel operates a captive power plant with a total capacity of 40 MW, ensuring uninterrupted operations and energy self-sufficiency. Of this, 17 MW is generated through Waste Heat Recovery Boilers (WHRB), making our operations environmentally sustainable.
